Code Snippets Database

« THIS VERSION OF THE DATABASE HAS BEEN DEPRECATED »

The version of the Code Snippets Database displayed on this page has been mothballed – it is no longer being updated.

I am still maintaining the database, but you now need to view it using the new Code Snippets Database Take 2 web application.

If you want to generate your own Pascal units from code in the database you will need to install the CodeSnip Code Snippets Repository Windows application. You can also use this program to manage your own snippets.

About the database

This is a database of reusable Delphi functions and procedures. They are grouped into different categories. The database is also searchable.

The database is controlled using the Control Box that appears on each page. You can display the snippets in any of the database's categories, search the database or generate a customised unit.

Read the help page for further information about using this database.

Offline Viewer

An offline viewer for the database is available. Go to the CodeSnip Code Snippets Repository page for more information and / or to download it.

Tests and Demos

Source code of some tests for selected snippets from the database is available as part of the Delphi Doodlings repository on Assembla.com. The code can be found in the CodeSnippets sub-directory of the trunk.

Bill Miller's CodeSnip Demo program illustrates many of the snippets from the database.

Contribute

Have you got some useful utility routines or other code snippets? Are you happy to place them in the public domain for others to use? Then please let me know.

Even better, why not enter your code into the CodeSnip Code Snippets Repository program and then submit it automatically from there using the program's Database | Submit Snippets menu option.
